The entrance to the City of Orinda’s public library shows the skillful use of one stone in multiple textures and finishes.
Hand textured granite paving lead the visitor to the dramatic waterfall which cools the space in the hot summer months. A lovely sitting area at the upper plaza contains a small pool that cascades to the plaza below.
The strip veneer was designed for easy coursework and facile site adjustment during setting. This allowed union brick layers to accomplish the work very cost-effectively.
